History

The Faculty of Education, located in the Rectorate campus of Fırat University, was established with the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 09.09.1997 and started its academic life on 18.09.1998. In the beginning, since our faculty did not have an independent building, it carried out its teaching activities in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences building. Our faculty moved to its first building in 2005-2006 academic year, to its second building in 2007-2008 academic year and finally to its additional building in 2017-2018 academic year and continues its teaching activities.

The academic staff of our faculty participates in scientific congresses, panels, conferences, seminars, exhibitions and symposiums, and contributes to the world of science by hosting some of them, along with various international and national publications every year. In addition, various social and sportive activities are organised every year in our faculty.
